Meet Our Interim Pastor

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Rev. Dr. Erin Robinson Hall Named Interim Pastor at Maranatha Baptist Church

PLAINS, Ga. — June 21, 2026 — Maranatha Baptist Church has named Rev. Dr. Erin Robinson  Hall as Interim Pastor, welcoming a preacher, educator, and writer into the life of the historic  Plains congregation.

Hall brings to Maranatha a deeply formed ministry of preaching, teaching, pastoral imagination,  and congregational care. Across her vocational life, she has designed programs, curriculum,  retreats, worship experiences, and public conversations that invite people into deeper  connection with God, neighbor, and community.

“It is great to have Erin with us at Maranatha. With her years of experience and the love she has already shown our congregation, we look forward to her leadership in the future of our church” said Danny Ariail, longtime member and deacon at Maranatha.

Hall is a graduate of Samford University, Candler School of Theology at Emory University, and  Columbia Theological Seminary, where she earned a Doctorate of Ministry. Hall also writes a  religion column called “Cups and Water” for Macon Magazine that explores stories of spirituality,  interfaith connections, and the ways people are more connected than separate.

Hall is a mother to four school-aged children and married to Rev. Dr. Jake Hall, also a Baptist  minister. Her family is excited about connecting with the Maranatha congregation.

Hall says, “Maranatha has a rich history and a hopeful future. The ministry of every pastor and  leader who served in this place has shaped this community for good, and I am grateful for their  faithfulness.”

Hall will preach, provide pastoral leadership, accompany the congregation through its  transitional season, and help Maranatha Baptist Church continue its public witness of faith,  compassion, and love of neighbor.
