Earlier Connection

My father, William L.Guy, served as the North Dakota Governor (1961-1973) and knew President Carter. My wife and I met President and Mrs. Carter at the National Governor’s Conference in Houston in 1972 when President Carter met with governors to discuss his presidential run in 1976. We have respected the manner in which President Carter served our country and the manner in which he has worked with Habitat for Humanity and given voice to his faith following his service in Washington. We have had wonderful role models of faith and service to others through many in our parents’ generation and have tried to live our lives to provide guidance to our own now grown children. We look forward to attending his class.
